Mention of Galaxy S4 Mini Appears On Samsung Site
Four Variants of Galaxy S4 Mini spotted in listings but Samsung has yet to confirm.
Samsung's website has revealed another little gem, as discovered by the twitter community. A Galaxy S4 mini recently appeared in Samsung's listings, which points to a cheaper alternative to the Galaxy S4, similar to the Galaxy S3 and its mini counterpart. According to the listings, there are four variants of the device. These are dual-SIM (GT-I9192), 4G enabled (GT-I9195), China specific (GT-I9198) and a standard stock model (GT-I9190).
Specific details are unclear, but rumors indicate the phone will sport a 1.6 GHz dual core processor as well as a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED qHD display with a resolution on 960x540 pixels (256 ppi). It will probably be running on Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 with the TouchWiz Nature UX 2.0 software pre-installed alongside the operating system.
While waiting for confirmation of the device's existence from Samsung, we can assume that it will probably only be available around June or July, as Samsung wouldn't want to pull sales away from the larger Galaxy S4. Naturally, we do not expect all variants to be be available everywhere as launching the China model in the USA would be rather redundant.

ericburnby The S3 Mini was a joke of a phone. Riding on the coattails of the "real" GS3. I wonder how many people got suckered into buying that POS?Reply
Now they're at it again making a dumbed-down cheap phone but using the name "GS4" to imply it's somehow as good, just "smaller". -
tntom For the price they charge for the GS4 Mini I would rather have the GS4 even if I wanted the more petite version. This should be atleast $200 to $250 cheaper.Reply

slomo4sho Maybe some competition for the Nexus 4 finally? I am curious to see what the unlocked prices of these phones will be.Reply -
ericburnby Oh, look who's back. The little baby who copies other users names. That went out of style when I turned 13.Reply
And the GS3 Mini was a POS phone. Everyone who reviewed it was trying to find a reason for its existence. -
house70 Whoa.... For a device that has not even been confirmed yet, let alone having definitive specs available, the hating trolls are out in droves.Reply
"8 cores is colossal waste in a smart phone".... "The S4 mini will be a failure just like the S3 mini was."....
But the S4mini (if one is to believe rumors) will have a dual core. Does that mean it will run circles around the 8-core S4?
Which one is it, otacon72? Care to make some sense? Never mind, you don't even get the concept of 4+4 cores (big.LITTLE), let alone support your claims with hard evidence. Troll along.
