During this year's Annual Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, LG showed the world the Optimus F5. The phone, which was designed primarily for a worldwide 4G LTE market, is now finally releasing in France, with most of Europe, Asia, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and the Americas following in the next few weeks.
The phone comes with a 4.3 inch IPS qHD screen, with a pixel density of 256 ppi. Powering this global workhorse is an unspecified Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core, clocked in at 1.2 GHz, working along 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage, expandable with microSDHC (meaning up to 32 GB). The body is available in either glossy white or piano black, measuring 126.0 x 64.5 x 9.3 mm, with the presence of a front facing 1.3 MP camera as well as a 5 MP autofocus camera on the back. Powering it is a 2,150 mAh battery, which is the same capacity that has pushed the Optimus L9 to be one of LG's longest battery life phones.
On the software front, the phone has Android 4.1's Jelly Bean in command, with some of LG's own features added, such as QSlide multitasking, Live Zoom and QTranslator. This phone certainly has the hardware and software of a good quality phone, but with the price not fully known yet, we cannot say whether this will bring 4G LTE access to the global market at an affordable price.
