Report: MSI's Z87-GD65 Pictured
Some images have been snapped of MSI's Z87-GD65 motherboard.
Earlier, we showed you MSI's Z87 MPower Max that got pictured; now we bring you the Z87-GD65. The folks over at Cooln have released some pictures.
We knew that the motherboard makes part of the Gaming series because of its name. We now found that the motherboard is equipped, as we expected, with the Sound Blaster Audio Boost chip. This should improve the 7.1 audio quality. Other specifications include three PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, three PCIe 3.0 x1 slots, and an mPCIe combo slot. In there, users can place either mPCIe devices or an mSATA SSD. Storage is handled by six SATA3 ports. The CPU gets its power from a single 8-pin EPS connector, followed by a 12-phase VRM design assisted by Military Class IV parts. The motherboard also features a number of overclocking goodies, as can be seen on the motherboard.
The motherboard's design is remarkably similar to that of the Z77A-GD65, which is the current generation counterpart. Enjoy the images below.
