Bitspower Reveals Full-Cover Water Block for Mini-ITX P8Z77-I Deluxe

Bitspower has released a very interesting water block that is built for the Mini-ITX motherboard from Asus -- the P8Z77-I. This is a full-cover water block for a Mini-ITX motherboard that not only covers the motherboard's chipset and VRM circuitry, but also cools the installed CPU. It will be named the AIZ77ITXD.

The water block has a 90-degree bend that leads to the VRM circuitry. This is because the VRM circuitry on the P9Z77-I is on a separate daughterboard, since there was not enough space on the Mini-ITX board for a 10-phase VRM circuit. Regardless, the cooling block is just a single unit, and Bitspower refers to this design as a Unibody Style Construction.

It will come in two versions: one with a clear acrylic top, and another with a semi-clear black acrylic top. Both versions are made of copper, with a nickel-plating finish for durability and appearance.

There is no word yet on the unit's pricing or availability.

It looks like the water lines attach to the top. It would be a bit more convincing if the top was also all-metal (I can't help thinking the tubing hardware might bugger up the threads in the acrylic if you're not careful), but then you couldn't check for bubbles.
