Twitch Announces First TwitchCon, September 25-26
Twitch fans will finally have a chance to gather in one place outside of the popular game streaming site to celebrate all things Twitch-related. Announced at Twitch's weekly show, the company will host a convention called TwitchCon on September 25-26 at the Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco.
Attendees will be able to meet their favorite broadcasters, attend live Twitch shows on the convention floor, and have the chance to hear from what Twitch calls the "community's thought-leaders."
The company is also getting additional help to set up TwitchCon from ReedPOP, the same event-planning company behind some of the biggest shows throughout the year such as PAX Prime, the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo, and New York City Comic Con.
Twitch plans on releasing more information in the coming months, but considering that TwitchCon is only a two day event, it will be interesting to see what's in store for a potentially massive and successful convention.
