Nvidia Platforms: Turn Advance Path On!
Like Intel, Nvidia has a memory prefetcher, which is important to be enabled for maximum memory performance. For some reason, the feature was switched off on the initial BIOS version, but we received a BIOS update from Nvidia’s Lars Weinand to fix this issue. Since Advance Path makes quite a difference on some benchmarks, we decided to show you some of the results. The following benchmarks are those that showed the most differential when Advance Path was switched off. Those we did not list here either showed little or no performance difference.
