The reference motherboard has often been referred to irreverently as the "pizza" due to its oversized dimensions. That doesn't matter though, since the reference board is purely a technological support tool and will never be seen in stores. All chipset components including PCIe slots, all USB connections, and the SATA and UltraATA ports can be loaded up for testing. For our comparison test between NVIDIA and VIA we retained the same components used in the last motherboard comparison test: a GeForce 6800 GT and a Western Digital WD740 Raptor.
